Well, I was told the price I was quoted included the filling.. so.. I dunno.
I'm actually doing okay today. I'm not on painkillers through the day for the first time in a week, though I've got a bit of a headache and I've taken one now. I'm not sure how I'll last for choir tonight. Anyways, waiting till next week should be fine, I hope. The time is going by so fast!

They do tend to put temporary fillings in. I don't know why. To make more money? Who knows! I had a temporary root canal treatment that lasted three years and went through several incarnations before the tooth was finally taken out. Now I am awaiting a bridge. Hope you're not in too much pain and that it won't last till next week. I'm sending healing thoughts x

Somehow I missed this post. Sorry. Sorry I wasn't 'here' to say I'm sorry you were feeling such loss. I have no doubt that you leave your patients feeling like people, not just patients. That you make them smile, inside at least, if even for a moment. It might be the only moment in their life right now. As long as you strive to smile when you walk through their door, you will make a difference in their life, I know from experience so keep smiling, and keep caring for them, despite the pain it occasionally brings.

I would keep a log of the days and times you use the washing machine and your clothes get ruined. I would also photograph each ruined article of clothing as you take it out of the machine. Then, armed with the evidence, you can confront them and demand compensation.

I think the walk with the laundry basket - in winter? in snow and ice? - would be a deal-breaker for me, as would noise from pub. To gain 150 sq ft, it wouldn't seem worth it. Plus all the hassles of changing address, etc. And no lease? is that secure? But what it really comes down to is your gut feeling. Do you like it better than your current flat? Do you think you could cope with pub/laundry? And would Babu like it better? He's got used to the familiar scents where he is.

Someone at my birthday party gave me their cold. I've had it for 11 days now and am feeling listless, achey and awful, and can't stop sniffing and blowing. I hope your winter lurgy will be better soon. I'm going to try and summon up the energy to go to the gym later, in the hope of getting things moving around my body and gingering up my immune system. Yeah, I guess with ovarian cancer you can feel fuller sooner and bloated after a meal as one of the signs. Who knew!

Yup! They found horseflies were too attracted to a purely dark horse or a purely light-coloured horse. So zebra it is! They were not as attracted to them!
