Forget It

Y'know what? Since I can't scratch out my last post, or score lines through it, just forget it was even written. I contemplated deleting it altogether, but at the time I wrote it for a reason, so it stays. It just won't be acknowledged anymore.

Thanks.

The Platypus.

Edit: Post deleted.

So, was it for conformity or against conformity?

Sorry Bix. It was a bit of an emotional post and I had to delete it.

I can leave excerpts of it here, though. Such as.. Anyone who's known me for a while can tell you I don't like to conform (with anything, if I can help it). I don't necessarily go out of my way to be different, but I do what suits me and I don't like to be a duck amongst a lot of... ducks. I like to be the.. platypus. Conformity, to me, is the devil.

I like to separate myself from... everything around me, as it were, and examine my actions, my thoughts, my ways (this is lately; I never used to do it all the time). I can't tell you why I do it, per se. Perhaps to release myself from said conformity. To make sure I'm doing things for *me*, not for everyone else, or everyone else's usual ways..

..and that's mainly what it was about. :)

Ah. I see.

It's interesting. I heard a story on the news yesterday about differences in Western and Eastern culture, how Asians tend to act more as a group while people in the US tend to act more as individuals. I guess there's benefits to both.

There certainly could be. I wonder if one way makes a group more stronger than the other. What other points could you argue?
